VENETO Soave Classico, Monteforte
A pale lemon-coloured wine with a lovely clean bouquet of acacia and almond. Surprisingly full-bodied, it shows great balance between crisp green apple character and the richer honey and lemon flavours.
FRIULI Pinot Grigio, Ponte Diavola, Grave del Friuli
A far cry from ‘ordinary PG’: aromatic, with good structure and body, lovely elegance on the palate with ripe pears, a touch of sherbet and a nutty note offset by the characteristic freshness of wines from Friuli.
CAMPANIA Falanghina Beneventano, Vesevo
One of the South’s key grapes; fresh, crisp and aromatic with perfumes of white flowers, melon and mineral notes provide a backdrop to the full, ripe palate, and lift the finish. An elegant wine, with a lingering touch of honey.
PIEMONTE Gavi d Gavi Ricardo Sarotto
Quite rich in texture compared to most Gavi but still soft and gentle. Medium-bodied and silky juicy peach and pear fruit alongside stoney minerality. Perfect summer drinking...or for when you want to be reminded of summer!
BASILICATA Greco Fiano, Pipoli, Vigneti Vulture
Pale lemon in colour, with perfumes of tropical fruit and a touch of vegetal notes. Rich yet fresh with a lime zest character, which comes from the Greco fruit, balancing the richness.
SARDINIA Vermentino, Marmora
The bouquet is intense but delicate, with fragrances of citrus and bergamot, roses and rosemary. The palate is crisp, dry and savoury, with a lovely delicacy and a finesse that continues throughout the long finish.
