Why We Love Delilah’s Products At Delilah Fine Foods, we’re passionate about bringing the best-quality ingredients to your kitchen. Our confit duck is slow-cooked to perfection, offering a tender and flavourful base for this dish. Paired with our authentic hoisin sauce and locally sourced honey, these premium ingredients make it easy to create a restaurant-quality meal at home. Whether you’re hosting friends or treating yourself, Delilah’s products ensure every bite is memorable.

Ingredients

  • Sesame Oil
  • 400g Confit Duck
  • ¼ cup Yau’s Hoi Sin Sauce
  • 1 tsp Wymeswold Honey
  • Salt and white pepper
  • 1 pack of Chinese-style pancakes (find them at your local supermarket or Asian store)
  • Cucumber, sliced into thin strips
  • leeks, sliced into thin strips

Method

  1. Heat a frying pan over medium heat with a drizzle of sesame oil. Once hot, add the confit duck and season with a pinch of salt and white pepper.

  2. Fry the duck until it’s golden and crispy, breaking it up slightly as it cooks.

  3. Add the hoisin sauce and honey to the pan, stirring well to coat the duck. Allow the mixture to reduce slightly, but keep an eye on it to prevent sticking.

  4. Warm the Chinese-style pancakes according to the package instructions.

  5. Serve the crispy hoisin duck with thinly sliced cucumber, spring onion, extra hoisin sauce for dipping, and the warm pancakes. Let everyone assemble their own for that interactive Fakeaway experience.

Wine Pairing Pair this dish with a bottle of Bruno Sorg Pinot Noir  from our wine selection. Its light body and fruity, earthy notes complement the rich, savoury flavours of the duck and the sweetness of the hoisin sauce without overpowering the dish.
