Another Belter from our favourite Greek producer.
The 30-year old vineyard “Pirovolikes" is planted with the grape variety Vilana, and is still being pruned traditionally as a bush vine, at 650m elevation on rocky soil and a southeast aspect, giving a wine of high concentration and aroma.
The juice remained with the skins for 6 hours in order to encourage the transfer of flavor compounds, with 30% of the must barrel fermented in new French oak, the rest in stainless steel, with extended lees contact.
Quite deeply coloured with intense aromas of luscious tree fruits, notes of citrus blossom and cedar. Unique νelvety taste with a refreshing long finish.
Great with grilled or fried fish, grilled chicken, or white cheese.
