Producing a sublimely silky, plush, sensual wine, the property comprises 10 hectares on soils of clay, sand and iron-trace red stone.

The vines’ average age is 35 years and the blend is 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% very old vine Carmenère (which really makes a wonderful contribution!)

Owned by Dominique Hebrard (ex owner of Chateau Cheval Blanc) since 2000 this is a lovely estate and their 2014 vintage stood out in a recent tasting we held, recommended for drinking this year (13.5%)

A good wine to match with roast beef, steak or rich game dishes.
