The Josef Ehmoser winery is located in Tiefenthal, 45 kilometres west of Vienna, in the wine growing sub-region of Wagram on the left bank of the Danube. The estate is run by Josef and Martina, the third generation of the Ehmoser family to do so.

The Grüner Veltliner grapes are vinified in stainless steel - the emphasis is on retaining freshness and purity of fruit creating a fresh, zesty, lemony style of Gruner (some examples can be rich, almost Chardonnay-like). The classic tasting note is white pepper - and there's certainly more than a hint of that here.

Lovely and refreshing, and goes well with soft cheese, mushrooms, herbed dishes and seafood.
