Pinotage, Abraham and the Heretics

The wine is named after the esteemed South African, Abraham Izak Perold, credited with the development of the Pinotage variety, once described as “The bastard son of Pinot Noir”.

This is a tongue in cheek, but still serious modern, take of this native South African grape – and one of the more balanced examples we have tried. Bold black fruits, savoury spicy notes and a touch of molasses. Very individual.
