MUST TRY WHITE: Produced from an indigenous field blend including 50% Rabigato, 15% Gouveio and 20% Codega do Larinho among others. Expect good concentration of fruit with balanced acidity, rich mouthfeel and a long, mineral finish.
Pinot Noir, Bruno Sorg, Alsace
Classic Alsatian Pinot Noir - lighter in body with a gentle red fruit presence. Red cherries, strawberries and red currants with a mineral-tinged finish.
All the wines from this producer are revered. This Pinot Noir is no exception despite being a tricky grape to tame. Full of flavour, elegant & great value for such a delightful glass. Particularly good with roast duck and roasted vegetables.
Chateau Noaillac 2016, Cru Bourgeois Medoc
Chateau Noaillac produces succulent, lovely early drinking claret. Peppery red fruit nose tinged with a hint of liquorice followed by faintly toasted cedar, earth and spice. The palate is still on the lighter side with generous ripe blackcurrant and mulberry flavours over toasty cedar, earth and spice nuances.
